YAHUKIMO - The Task Forces of the Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Yahukimo Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Friday, 12 July 2024.
The Marines Task Forces Patrol Team conducted routine security patrols in the Kiribun Village, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency. During the patrol, the Soldiers had the opportunity to cross the Kiribun Market and carry out the “ROSITA” (Buy up Farming Products) belonging to residents who sold their farming products in the market.

Commander of the Marines Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Rismanto Manurung, left a message to the Soldiers who would conduct the patrol. The message was to help the difficulties of the community in their assigned areas is something that needs to be done when carrying out the main task of securing the area. Therefore, that Friday, the PJPR Post led by Major Tirta, took advantage of their patrol by helping the economy of the local community, especially those selling farming products.
By continuing to prioritize security, the Soldiers have the opportunity to interact and communicate with the sellers. Using the Soldiers' own pocket money, the farming products traded that morning were bought and brought by them. Responding to the ROSITA program, the sellers were very happy because their merchandise was bought up by the Soldiers. A seller, named Mama Yohana Hanuebi, said, "Thank you, Bapak Tentara (Soldier), for buying our farming products."
"The initiative of the Marines Task Forces to buy up the farming products in the Kiribun Village is the TNI's effort to help the people's economy, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
